PNoy sis graces Likha ng Central Luzon opening

Presidential sister Aurora Corazon "Pinky" Aquino-Abellada graced the opening of the 13th Likha ng Central Luzon trade fair in Megatrade Hall 2 of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong city yesterday.
Department of Trade and Industry regional information officer Wilfred Carbonell disclosed that around 150 micro, small, and medium entrepreneurs coming from the provinces of Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales will be joining this year's LCL which is anchored on the theme, "Where Creativity Blends with Nature!"
The five-day bazaar shall feature regionally-produced processed foods, home furnishings, ceramics, holiday decors, jewelries, fashion accessories, footwear, bags and specialized garments like barong and gowns.
It will likewise showcase products made by Central Luzon residents from bamboo.
Aside from Aquino-Abellada, DTI Secretary Gregory Domingo and local officials from Central Luzon namely Aurora Governor Bellaflor Angara-Castillo, Pampanga Governor Lilia Pineda, Bulacan Governor Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado, Nueva Ecija Governor Aurelio Umali, and Bataan 2nd district representative and House Trade & Industry committee chair Albert Raymond Garcia are also expected to attend today's event.
The LCL is jointly organized by DTI 3 and Philexport 3 with the full support of the Regional Development Council 3 and Central Luzon Growth Corridor Foundation Inc.
Last year's trade fair generated a total sales of P42.399 million. (PIA)
