Public consultation on CLUP in Iligan starts October 25

The series of public consultations on the updated Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Comprehensive Development Plan of Iligan city in Lanao del Norte will start on Tuesday, October 25.

The sectoral consultations will be held at Elena Tower and in the barangays.

On the first day, the substance of the plan will be presented to student leaders, youth organizations, professional clubs, non-government organizations, heads of different schools, members of the media, urban poor and labor organizations.

In the coming days, the invited personalities are those from commerce, developers, mining, woodbase industries, agriculture sectors and barangays.

City Planning Officer Gil Balondo confirmed that the consultations will be attended by Mayor Lawrence
Ll. Cruz and City Councilor Ruderic Marzo, Chairman of the Committee on Planning and Development of the city council.

Balondo said CLUP is the official document where the physical aspect of the development of the city is laid out for the next 10 years while the CDP is the document where the programs and projects of different sectors for the next 5 years are laid out. (PNA)
