Wanted kidnapper falls in Bulacan

CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan – Joint police operatives arrested Sunday a wanted killer and kidnapper in Barangay Pulong Yantok, Angat, this province, police reported on Monday.
In a report submitted to Bulacan acting provincial director Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., the arrested suspect was identified as Apolonio Policarpio Marcelo Jr. a resident of Apol Subdivision, 43 KM. Partida, Sta. Maria.
Supt. Frankie Candelario, company commander of Bulacan Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC), said that Marcelo was arrested during a follow-up operation and the implementation of two search warrants by the Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) from Camp Crame, Bulacan PPSC, Angat and Santa Maria Municipal Police Stations.
Candelario said that the suspect was arrested after one of his alleged cohorts Adriano Del Rosario, 53, a resident of Phase 2, Block 12, Lot 29, Barangay San Rafael IV, San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan, voluntarily surrendered to Bulacan police last May 30.
Del Rosario admitted his involvement in the kidnapping and killing of Edeltrudes Tan and Jayson Puyo last March 25 in Barangay Pulong Yantok, Angat, Bulacan.
Recovered from Marcelo's office and residence were one Glock 17, 9mm pistol; one pistol Taurus PT740, cal. 40; one Bentley shotgun; one Armscor pistol, cal. 45; four 9mm short Glock magazine; one Armscor cal. 38 revolver; two 9mm Glock magazines extended; and several ammunition.
Police also found human remains inside the compound of Apol subdivision. (PNA)
