Comelec releases image of official ballots

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Monday released an image of the official ballots for the May 13, 2013 midterm elections.

Included in the ballots are the 33 candidates who are slugging it out for the 12 senatorial seats and 136 party-list organizations looking to have a place for the 58 slots in the Party List System at the House of Representatives.

It also include the names of candidates for 233 district congressmen; 80 governors; 80 vice-governors; 766 Sangguniang Panlalawigan members; 143 city mayors and 143 city vice mayors; 1,598 Sangguniang Panglungsod members; 1,491 municipal mayors and 1,491 vice-mayors and 11,932 Sangguniang Bayan members.

Also in the ballots are the positions for one regional governor of Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao; one regional vice-governor and 24 regional assemblymen.

A total 18,053 positions are available from the senatorial to Sangguniang Bayan members.

However, the number of positions in the ballots may vary depending on the positions in a city or municipality.

Aside from the names and positions, also contained in the ballots are the instructions on how to vote.

The voters are asked to shade the ovals corresponding to their candidates; to use only "marking pen" in shading the ovals and not to vote more than the vacant positions. (PNA)
