6 wounded, 4 dead in ambush in Lanao del Norte

Six people were wounded, including Nunungan Mayor Abdulmalik Manamparan, and four were dead in an ambush in Lanao del Norte Thursday evening.
Col. Romulo Manuel, commanding officer of the 35th Infantry Makamandag Batallion said that they are still searching for more casualties.
Manamparan was in Barangay Malaig campaigning for reelection when his party was ambushed by unidentified gunmen.
Manamparan is running under the Nationalist People's Coalition.
