Team PNoy bets dominate unofficial, partial results for senatorial race

Majority of the candidates of the administration coalition Team PNoy continued to show dominance and are headed for victory in the senatorial race based on unofficial and partial results from the Commission on Election (Comelec) central server.
Former Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) chairperson Grace Poe-Llamanzares led the nine Team PNoy bets in the top 12 of the senatorial contest based on unofficial results posted in the www.electionresults.comelec.gov.ph as of 7 a.m. Tuesday.
The Comelec, sitting as National Board of Canvassers (NBOC) will reconvene at 10a.m. on Tuesday to begin the official canvassing of the election results from the consolidated canvassing system set up Monday night at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Forum in Pasay City.
The Comelec convened as NBOC one hour before Monday's elections ended at 7p.m. but immediately adjourned after the initialization of the consolidated canvassing system.
Based on the unofficial and partial results as of 7 a.m., Poe garnered a total of 13,548,886 votes followed by reelectionist senators Loren Legarda with 12,328,510 in the second spot, Francis 'Chiz' Escudero with 11,722,785 in third, and Alan Peter Cayetano with 11,700,570 in fourth place.
United National Alliance (UNA)'s Nancy Binay is in the fifth spot with 10,932,716 votes followed by Team PNoy's Sonny Angara (10,626,832) in 6th spot, Bam Aquino (10,159,259) in 7th, Aquilino 'Koko' Pimentel (9,804,548) in 8th, Antonio Trillanes (9,455,267) in 9th and Cynthia Villar (9,129,939) in 10th place.
UNA's JV Ejercito and reelectionist Gregorio 'Gringo' Honasan occupy the 11th and 12th place with 9,108,621 and 8,799,984 votes, respectively.
Former senators Richard Gordon and Juan Miguel Zubiri are trailing in the 13th and 14th spots with 8,486,626 and 7,797,354 votes while Team PNoy's Ramon 'Jun' Magsaysay Jr. is in the 15th place with 7,751,856 votes.
The pre-election surveys of major survey firms consistently showed 9 Team PNoy bets and 3 from UNA in the so-called Magic 12 with Honasan, Gordon, Zubiri and even Magsaysay fighting for 11th and 12th spots. (PNA)
