PAGASA announces mixture of sunny and rainy weekend

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Administration said on Friday that the mixture of sunny and rainy weather will continue for the next two to three days.
Weather forecaster Aldczar Aurelio said that Metro Manila and the rest of the country, except Northern Luzon and Southern Mindanao will have sunny to partly cloudy skies with possible isolated rains in the afternoon or evening until Sunday due to evaporation or localized convection.
Meanwhile, the tail-end of a cold front is affecting extreme northern Luzon while the intertropical convergence zone is affecting southern Mindanao.
Cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms will be present in Cagayan Valley, the regions of Ilocos and Cordillera, Mimaropa, Western Visayas and the Zamboanga Peninsula.
Moderate to occasionally strong winds from the southwest will prevail over extreme north Luzon and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough.
On the other hand, Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds coming from the east to southeast while the rest of Luzon will have slight to moderate winds from the southeast to south.
PAGASA said the weekend is expected to be storm-free and cyclone-free but one to two storms are expected to affect the country this month.
