Filipino singer-actor Iñigo Pascual just landed his first international role.
Deadline reported that the 24-year-old Pascual will star on Fox's musical drama "Monarch."
Fox describes the Monarch as "an epic, multi-generational musical drama about America's first family of country music."
"In MONARCH, the Romans are passionate and fiercely talented, but while their name is synonymous with honesty, the very foundation of this family's success is a lie. When dangerous truths bubble to the surface, the Romans' reign as country royalty is put in jeopardy. Nicky Roman, the brilliant and fierce heir to the crown, already battling an industry and world stacked against her, will stop at nothing to protect her family's legacy. It's finally her turn. But is it too late?" it added.
Report from Deadline also said that Pascual will play the role of 18-year-old Ace Grayson, the adopted child of Nicolette "Nicky" Roman played by British actress Anna Friel.
"He's a phenomenal singer with real swagger on stage, and dreams of being a country star like his Grandpa Albie, but in spite of being part of a golden family, his path to success has some challenges," Deadline said in its report.
Casts for the upcoming series also include Susan Sarandon, Albie Roman, Trace Adkins, Anna Friel, and Beth Ditto.
Iñigo confirmed the news via Instagram on Thursday saying, "The news is out! Sorry for keeping it for so long."
Monarch will premier on FOX on January 20, 2022.
