After several months of being admitted in rehab for substance abuse, Cory Monteith was found dead at the Pacific Rim Hotel in City Centre, Canada, this July 13.
Vancouver's Deputy Police Chief Doug Lepard said that his body has been dead for several hours before he was discovered, after missing his check-out time, midday Saturday.
Lepard added, Monteith went out with his friends earlier in the evening but he returned to his room alone the next morning.
Ruling out foul play, an autopsy is expected to take place Monday, determining the real cause of death.
Unknown to many, Monteith, playing the role of Finn Hudson of Glee in 2009, has been undergoing treatment for drug addiction since he was 19.
Having a history of substance-abuse, the 31 year actor old entered rehab April this year. And Lea Michele, his girlfriend, as well as the rest of the "Glee" and Fox family supported this decision.
Monteith left the facility a month later and showed his gratitude via social networking site Twitter. Thus, Monteith made his first and only post-rehab red carpet appearance on June 10 at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball.
In an interview few years ago, Monteith admitted that he was "lucky to be alive" considering that he was continuously abusing alcohol and drugs during teenage years, making him drop out of high school at an early age of 16. (JMVM)
