NCRPO adds 500 cops in MM

To reduce crime in Metro Manila, C/Supt. Marcel Garbo Jr., Regional Director of the National Capital Region Police Office, on Thursday ordered the deployment of an additional 500 police officers.
Garbo said of the 500 officers from Philippine National Police's Regional Public Safety Battalion, 150 were assigned to to Quezon City Police District; 150 to Southern Police District; 75 to Northern Police District; 75 to Eastern Police District; and 50 to Manila Police District.
The NCRPO Chief said the efficiency and competence of these police officers have been honed through the Public Safety Basic Recruit Course and Field Training Program.
Garbo also ordered all district directors to look after their men, practice skepticism or "tamang duda" and ensure that all of them are dedicated in their respective areas of responsibility.
"I will be inspecting police stations and police outposts randomly to verify that all reports submitted to me are factual. All performing personnel will be given due credit but all erring and irresponsible will be sanctioned accordingly," Garbo said. (PNA)
