The Philippines absorbed a 5-1 loss from Sweden ahead of its FIFA Women's World Cup debut in an unofficial match played closed doors in NZCIS in Upper Hutt, Wellington, New Zealand on Monday, July 17
Further details about the friendly game were sketchy given its nature, but it was clear the world number three Sweden emerged victorious.
On its website, Swedish Football Association said Stina Blackstenius, who currently plays for English club Arsenal, had a hat-trick.
Fridolina Rolfo and Johanna Rytting Kaneryd slotted a goal each for Sweden to defeat the Filipinas in the match that ran in three periods of 30 minutes each, with both sides agreeing to play in such a game format.
Information about who scored the consolation goal of the Philippines wasn't provided, even by the national team as of writing.
It was the last preparatory match of the Filipinas ahead of their July 21 clash against Switzerland.
