The Philippines had an impressive stint in the 4th Asian Para Games in Hangzhou, China after seven days of action. For the first time in four editions, the Filipino para athletes entered the top 10, surpassing their 11th-placed finish in the previous edition held in Jakarta, Indonesia five years ago.
Bagging 10 golds, four silvers, and five bronzes, the nationals finished ninth in the final medal standing despite producing less than their 2018 output.
Led by the para chess team, here are the sporting heroes who made this historic breakthrough possible:
