MANILA – Most areas in the country will continue to experience rains due to shear line and the northeast monsoon, the weather bureau said Tuesday.
The Visayas, Bicol Region, Mimaropa, Zamboanga Peninsula and the provinces of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the shear line.
Moderate to heavy rains may result in flash floods or landslides, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) warned.
Cagayan Valley and Quezon province will have light rains while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will still experience isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
The rest of Mindanao will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over Luzon, the Visayas, and the northern section of Mindanao.
Rough to very rough seas are forecast over the seaboards of Northern Luzon, the eastern seaboard of Central Luzon, the eastern and western seaboards of Southern Luzon, and the eastern seaboard of the Visayas.
Sea travel is risky for small seacrafts, and mariners of these vessels are advised to seek safe harbor.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, according to PAGASA. (PNA)
