Robber in China falls asleep during his robbery attempt, gets arrested

A thief in China made an epic twist after falling asleep during his robbery attempt and being caught by the homeowner.

According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP), the robber named Yang entered a house in Yunnan province, China approximately midnight and he decided to wait in a different room after hearing people talking inside.

Yang who got bored while waiting for his chance to break inside the house, smoked a cigar and fell asleep. The homeowner, Tang who is sleeping with her child woke due to the loud snoring and brushed it off thinking that it was from their neighbor.

But after 40 minutes, Tang woke up to wash her child's milk bottle noticed that the snoring grew louder, and realized that the sound was coming from another room in her home. She decided to open the door and was surprised after finding a stranger sleeping soundly on the floor.

Tang informed her family immediately and contacted the police, and the burglar was arrested.

Police officers revealed that Yang was jailed in 2022 for theft and had a criminal record. He resumed stealing after being freed in September, but his case is still ongoing. (KBAPI)
