Construction worker yields P7.4-M shabu in Lapu-Lapu sting operation

CEBU CITY – A construction worker yielded more than a kilo of illegal drugs worth P7.4 million during a sting operation in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu province on Black Saturday afternoon.
The Lapu-Lapu City Police intelligence unit said the 20-year-old suspect is a resident of Toong, a mountain village in this capital city.
Maj. Albert Jay Samson, chief of the City Intelligence Unit, said the police cornered the suspect in Sitio Lawis, Barangay Pusok after he transacted with the poseur buyer.
The suspect yielded five packs containing 1.1 kilos of suspected shabu with a street value of P7,480,000.
He is detained while awaiting drug charges to be filed on Monday. (PNA)
