A fox went viral on social media after stealing a cellphone owned by an officer from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) while the recording was still ongoing.
In a news release, animal rescue officer Ben Fitzcosta shared he came to the woodland in Bagshot in England, United Kingdom to aid a fox with an injured leg.
"There were actually two foxes in the woodland, someone called the RSPCA to report that one of them was injured," Fitzcosta said.
Upon arrival, he found the fox and immediately installed his phone to capture a video.
However, when he was about to catch the injured animal with food and a grasper, the fox took the device and ran away.
Fortunately, Fizcosta retrieved his cellphone, and can be heard at the end of the clip saying, "Oh my God, can't believe that just happened".
The video posted on YouTube showed the entire odd incident, with the fox stealing the cellphone and going to a nearby bush. (KBAPI)
