OWWA and COMELEC Launch Overseas Voters Satellite Registration to expand participation in 2025 polls

MANILA, Philippines – The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) have initiated satellite registration centers worldwide aims to ramps up voter registration activities for migrant Filipinos.
Eligible Filipinos citizens or dual citizens abroad will be able to cast their votes through satellite registration, #MagpaRehistroKa on 30-day voting period, from April 13 to May 12, 2025.
To register, applicant must present all of the requirements:
  • Valid Philippine passport
  • Seafarer's Record Book (SRB) or Seafarer's Identity Document (SID)
  • For Dual citizens, Certified copy of the approval for retention or reacquisition of Philippine citizenship

June 24, 2024
  • OWWA Region 6 office in Western Visayas, Iloilo City (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
June 25, 2024
  • Lacson Seafarers Maritime Seminars and Trainings, John B. Foundation University Center, Molo, Iloilo City (8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.)
  • Compass Iloilo, Manfred's Building, 22 General Luna St., Iloilo City Proper (2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
