1.7K land titles turned over to Caraga farmers since 2022

BUTUAN CITY – From July 2022 until May 2024, the administration of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. distributed 1,710 Certificates of Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs) under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.
During Tuesday's Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas forum here, Department of Agrarian Reform-Caraga (DAR-13) Director Merlita Capinpuyan said the CLOAs covered 2,191.38 hectares.
"The DAR-13 and its provincial offices are also intensifying the implementation of Project SPLIT or the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling," Capinpuyan said.
Project SPLIT covers the subdivision of collective CLOAs previously issued by the agency into individual land titles.
As of last month, 6,043 e-titles covering 8,803.30 hectares of land were handed over to 6,043 ARBs.
Capinpuyan said DAR continuously supports ARBs to ensure the development of the lands allocated to them by the government.
Through its Farm Machinery and Equipment component, the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development and Sustainability Program provided 42 agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations with 93 units of machinery and equipment, valued at P39.4 million.
Last month, the agency completed eight farm-to-market roads in Surigao del Sur, which were funded with more than P194.4 million in 2023.
Moreover, the Agrarian Justice Delivery Program, also resolved 2,366 agrarian reform cases. (PNA)
