Man who ran 1,000 marathons was awarded the Guinness World Record

A British man was awarded the Guinness World Record after completing his 1,000th marathon on May 8, 2024.
He accumulated 3,363 hours, 4 minutes, and 2 seconds running in marathons throughout his life.
Steve Edwards started running marathons at 18 in 1981, and from then until his 1,000th race, he achieved an average running time of 3 hours and 21 minutes.
Edwards is the first runner to reach 1,000 marathons with an average time of no less than 4 hours..
The prize he received was dedicated to Kate's Home Nursing, a charity organization where his wife, Teresa, has been working with as a nurse. (Edmar David)
