4 high-value targets nabbed, P3.4-M shabu seized in Taguig

MANILA – The police arrested four high-value individuals (HVI) and seized over P3.4 million worth of shabu in a sting operation in Taguig City on Sunday afternoon.
The suspects are aged between 33 and 39 and all residents of the city, according to a National Capital Region Police Office report sent to the Philippine News Agency.
The four were arrested during a buy-bust in Barangay Calzada-Tipas around 5:30 p.m. and yielded 500 grams of shabu.
The four suspects will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has pledged to continue the bloodless campaign against illegal drugs.
"Extermination was never one of them," Marcos said.
In his third State of the Nation Address on July 22, he said the government's anti-drug drive resulted in the seizure of P44 billion worth of illegal drugs from more than 71,500 operations and the arrest of more than 97,000 suspects. (PNA)
