Serbia, France, US advance to Paris Olympics men's basketball semis

ISTANBUL – Serbia, France and the United States advanced to the men's basketball semifinal at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Tuesday.
The Serbian men's basketball team advanced after a thrilling 95-90 overtime win over Australia at Bercy Arena.
Serbia was led by Nikola Jokic with 21 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists and Bogdan Bogdanovic with 17 points in the victory.
Despite 26 points from Patty Mills and 25 points from Josh Giddey, Australia said goodbye to the Olympics.
US beats Brazil 122-87 at Bercy Arena
In another quarterfinal clash, host France beat Canada 82-73 at the same venue to qualify for the next round.
The French national team had four double-digit scorers, paced by Guerschon Yabusele with 22 points, while Isaia Cordinier scored 20 points and Evan Fournier produced 15 points.
Mathias Lessort added 13 points for France.
Canada's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was the highest scorer of the game with 27 points and RJ Barrett finished with 16 points.
Team USA dominated Brazil 122-87 to advance to the semifinals at Bercy Arena.
The US's Devin Booker scored 18 points, Anthony Edwards netted 17, Joel Embiid added 14 and LeBron James finished with 12 points and nine assists.
Brazil's Bruno Caboclo had a game-high 30 points with six rebounds while Georginho De Paula dropped 15 points.
Host France will face world champions Germany while Serbia will take on the USA in the semis at Bercy Arena on Thursday.
Earlier Tuesday, Germany claimed a 76-63 victory against Greece to qualify for the semifinal. (PNA)
