PDEA agents seize P13.6-M shabu in Lapu-Lapu City

CEBU CITY – An unemployed man from Tagbilaran City, Bohol was arrested during a sting operation in Marigondon, Lapu-Lapu City on Thursday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-7 reported.
The suspect identified as Mark Niño Caliniahan, 26, yielded a total of two kilos of suspected shabu worth P13.6 million.
PDEA-7 said the sting was conducted by their agents, together with the operatives from the Naval Forces Central Philippines, following a tip from a confidential informant and suspects in previous arrests reported Caliniahan's illegal drug operations.
The suspect, they said, could dispose of at least a kilo of illegal drugs a week.
The seized drugs have been submitted for chemical analysis and proper disposition.
Meanwhile, five suspects were arrested during a sting operation on Wednesday that led to the dismantling of a drug den in a coastal village here and seized from them nine small packs of suspected shabu. (PNA)
