17-year-old from Germany chooses to live on trains

A teenager from Germany has embarked on a lifestyle change by deciding to live on trains.
Lasse Stolley, a 17-year-old, sought a new way of life after failing in his planned apprenticeship. Instead of staying in his community, he traveled nearly 650,000 kilometers by train since August 2022.
In an interview with Stolley, he mentioned that the freedom to choose where to go each day is one of the things that brings him joy.
When asked about the challenges, Stolley acknowledged that train malfunctions and schedule changes are part of his daily life.
However, despite the challenges, Stolley found something unexpected in his life on trains – love. He said that he was able to he met his girlfriend in a lounge at Cologne rail station.
While it's uncertain how long he will continue this lifestyle, Stolley said he is happy with the experiences brought about by his unconventional way of living. (Pauline Dungao)
