California house crushed by a tree trend online due to concept: 'Half a house for half a million'

A house in Monrovia, California got viral online due to its unusual concept: "half a house for half a million."
According to reports, the bungalow was struck by a tree in May 2024, which caused half of the house being crushed.
There were no injuries, however, the most of the roof was destroyed.
The house, 645 square feet in size, was priced for $500,000, or around P28 million.
The listing agent Kevin Wheeler said in an interview that the listing got a lot of attention due to it weird concept: "It's half a house for half a million."
Wheeler also said that the owners decided that the house was no longer worth repairing, so they decided to sell it.
"They thought that it'd be better for them just to move on," Wheeler said.
"There's been a lot of interest so far because demand is so high and inventory, especially at this price, is so low," he said.
Also, Wheeler added that most likely the home buyer will tear down the whole house to construct a new home from there.
