Woman yields P34-M shabu in Cebu buy-bust

CEBU CITY – A 51-year-old woman yielded P34 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust here Friday.
The suspect, a resident of Barangay Cogon here, was under surveillance by the Philippine Drug Enforcement-Central Visayas (PDEA-7) for more than two months.
She was collared at 4:50 p.m. along Cokaliong Street in Barangay Carreta by a composite team of PDEA-7, Philippine National Police-Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit and Naval Forces Central,
Apart from the five big packs of suspected shabu weighing around five kilos, authorities confiscated from the suspect a mobile phone and other non-drug evidence.
Mayor Raymond Alvin Garcia attended the on-site inventory of the evidence.
The suspect reportedly sourced her drugs from the National Capital Region. (PNA)
