BI reshuffles key personnel at NAIA

MANILA – The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Wednesday announced the movement of key personnel at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said BI terminal heads at NAIA as well as the Chief of the Immigration Protection and Border Enforcement Section (I-PROBES) were reshuffled to improve delivery of service and tighten immigration procedures.
"This reshuffling is the result of a comprehensive study of airport procedures," he said in a news release.
"We are committed to streamlining operations at the country's main gateway. Improving airport efficiency is one of my administration's top priorities, and we will continue making necessary changes to ensure smooth immigration processing," he added.
Viado said the reshuffling of key officials is the first of many steps, vowing to implement more structural changes in the coming weeks.
He assured the public that they are prioritizing the needs of the traveling public while ensuring that border security is not compromised.
"These adjustments are part of our mission to provide faster, more efficient service to passengers, while still maintaining strict enforcement of immigration laws. We are strengthening our systems to meet the increasing demands of modern travel," Viado said.
He also said the reshuffle reflects the Immigration's long-term goal of ensuring efficient and transparent airport operations. (PNA)
