MANILA – Reymon Jaraula of Bukidnon ruled the ICTSI Bacolod Golf Challenge title by a stroke over Angelo Que at Bacolod Golf and Country Club in Murcia, Negros Occidental on Friday.
Jaraula fired a 68 for a 16-under 264 total to claim the P440,000 champion's purse.
"There was pressure on the back nine, especially after Que finished strong with two birdies. But I kept telling myself to just par the remaining holes, and that's exactly what I did," the 32-year-old Jaraula said.
Que had a 64 and 15-under 265 total to settle for the P287,500 runner-up prize.
Hyun Ho Rho placed third with a 66 and 266, earning P160,000 in the P2.5-million tournament, the penultimate leg of the 10-stage Philippine Golf Tour circuit.
Jaraula won his first pro title in 2019, beating veteran Tony Lascuña in a thrilling sudden-death victory at Pueblo de Oro in Cagayan de Oro City.
He won by five strokes at Valley Golf Antipolo last year. (PNA)
