NDRRMC: 'Kristine' death toll rises to 13

MANILA – The death toll from the effects of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name Trami) has climbed to 13, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said Friday.
The disaster response body's latest situation report said 11 deaths were logged in Bicol, one in Central Visayas, and one in Calabarzon.
Only the fatality in Calabarzon has been confirmed while the rest are being validated.
Also being confirmed are reports of seven missing persons – five in Bicol, one in Calabarzon, and one in the Ilocos region – as well as five injured persons – four in Bicol and one in the Bangsamoro Administrative Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
A total of 569,524 families or 2,656,466 persons residing in 3,483 barangays in 15 regions were affected by the storm.
Of these, 64,447 families or 239,200 individuals are taking shelter in 5,791 evacuation centers while 19,961 families or 80,497 persons are being aided outside evacuation centers.
In the same update, 1,402 houses were reported damaged in 11 regions. (PNA)
