Paddington Bear, a famous fictional bear, has recently been given an official passport from Britain's Home Office.
This is in line with the movie "Paddington in Peru" and was requested by its makers.
According to the co-producer of the movie, Rob Silva, he and the rest of the production team called the Home Office of Britain to request a replica passport that could be used in the film.
"We wrote to the Home Office asking if we could get a replica, and they actually issued Paddington with an official passport – there's only one of these," Silva said in an interview.
"You wouldn't think the Home Office would have a sense of humour, but under official observations, they've just listed him as Bear," Silva added.
Meanwhile, the passport contains Paddington's picture, birthdate, and birth location which is Peru.
The movie, "Paddington in Peru" was scheduled to be released in cinemas this 2025.
