Walang Gutom Program: to aid 300k families

After the Walang Gutom Program has been launched under the care of Department of Social Welfare and Development Sec. Rex Gatchalian, plenty of families has been given aid.

Under the said program, beneficiaries receive food credits amounting P3,000 per month. These food credits may be used to buy food for their daily needs.

The initiative aims to reduce hunger.

Verification and registration of qualified beneficiaries is continuously being done by members of the Angels in Red Vest. This is to insure additional aid to the intended recipients. As of late, verification and registration was done in Cotabato City; Bubong, Lanao del Sur; and amal Damilang, Lanao del Sur.

It is expected that beneficiaries of the program could reach 300,000 before the year ends.
