No more fact-checks on Facebook, Instagram

CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Meta is forgoing independent fact checkers on Facebook and Instagram.
The announcement made Tuesday.
In a video, Zuckerberg said that third-party moderators were too politically biased. He proposed to replace that with something like community notes on X (formerly Twitter).
The move comes as tech executives seek to improve relations with the incoming US president.
Trump and his allies have criticized Meta for the fact-checking policy, calling it censorship.
