BI deports Chinese nationals connected with POGO

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) deported three Chinese nationals Saturday.

The three, who were arrested earlier this month, were connected with the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO).

They were among the 450 POGO workers who worked illegally in Parañaque.

According to BI Commissioner Joel Viado, this is only the first batch of deportees. He added that the bureau is working tirelessly to ensure the swift removal of individuals found violating immigration laws.

Viado further stated that the fast-tracking deportations is in line with the president's order to protect the country's interest by banning POGOs.
