Prosecutor dismisses VP's case over VMMC incident

The case against Vice President Sara Duterte in connection with the incident at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) in November was dismissed by the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office.
The charges was direct assault, disobedience to authority, and grave coercion.
The was brought about by the commotion that escalated to a scuffle. This was when the Office of the Vice President Chief of Staff Atty. Zuleika Lopez was moved to St. Luke's Medical Center from the VMMC.
Aside from the Vice President, several other individuals from the Vice Presidential Security and Protection Group were named as respondents.
City Prosecutor Vimar Barcellano said that the evidence presented was not sufficient to support the accusation filed by the head of the Quezon City Police District Medical and Dental Unit, PLt. PLt. Col. Van Jason Villamor.
