The Commission on Elections (Comelec) plans to implement early voting hours for vulnerable groups in the December 2025 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE), continuing the approach used in the May 2025 national and local elections.
Under Resolution No. 11154, senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) will be allowed to vote from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m. at their designated polling centers for the upcoming BSKE. "In order to accommodate persons with disabilities, senior citizens, and pregnant women, the Commission implements the early voting hours during the 2025 BSKE nationwide for a smoother, safer, and more accessible voting experience to the vulnerable sectors," the Comelec said.
Voting for the general public will open at 7 a.m. and close at 3 p.m. Comelec noted that the early voting schedule is aimed at providing greater ease and accessibility for priority voters.
The Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) will be held on December 1, 2025.
