The Department of Education (DepEd) has introduced EduKahon, a standardized school recovery kit intended to support instruction and learning in the event of emergencies and natural disasters, in Tabaco City, Albay.
Tabaco National High School hosted the program's launch last August 28, 2025. Its goal is to assist students and teachers in continuing their education in the face of disruptions brought by disasters. "During calamities, our students and teachers are among the hardest hit. EduKahon makes sure that learning continues and that kids' education stays on course," At the launch, Education Secretary Sonny Angara stated.
The recovery package will be provided in three formats: School Kit for reestablishing schools and creating temporary learning spaces, Teacher Kit containing materials for instructing in the classroom and a Learner Kit includes fundamental learning tools for pupils.
According to DepEd Undersecretary Fatima Lipp Panontongan, the kits will be customized to the requirements of each school impacted by calamities.
Panontongan stated that President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. is leading this program, which is not only about learning continuity but also about making sure that students and teachers are safe.
