Sen. Panfilo "Ping" Lacson confirmed that he has invited former House Speaker Martin Romualdez and ex-Ako Bicol Rep. Zaldy Co to attend the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee hearing on November 14, which will tackle alleged anomalies in flood control projects.
Lacson said Romualdez's invitation will be coursed through House Speaker Faustino "Bojie" Dy Jr. as a matter of interparliamentary courtesy. "Wala naman talagang direct na pag-implicate sa kanya except yung statement ni Guteza, but we'll give him the opportunity to respond," he said.
Meanwhile, Co's invitation will be sent directly to his residence, even if he is currently in Europe. "Pwede rin siyang kunin, ipadala doon sa country na may extradition," Lacson noted.

The senator warned that if Co ignores the invitation, the Senate may issue a subpoena or even a warrant of arrest. He added that the committee is also considering summoning the contractor and security firm involved in the renovation of Romualdez's residence.
Lacson said efforts are ongoing to locate retired Marine Orly Guteza, who accused both lawmakers of receiving cash-filled bags. "Importante yung kanyang presence kung meron siyang maidadagdag pa sa kanyang naunang ipinahayag," he said.
He also questioned Guteza's disappearance, noting he was the only one who directly implicated Romualdez.
The Blue Ribbon hearing will resume on November 14 with more witnesses expected.
