Government employees are set to receive their year-end bonus and a P5,000 cash gift this November, the Presidential Communications Office confirmed through Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro.
"Maagang maipamimigay ng Department of Budget and Management ngayong buwan ang year-end bonus at P5,000 cash gift sa mga kawani ng gobyerno," she said. "Pagpapakita ito ng Marcos administration sa pagpapahalaga sa mga lingkod bayan," Castro added.
Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said the early distribution of these benefits underscores the Marcos administration's recognition of the hard work and commitment of government employees across the country.
She explained that the program is designed to provide financial assistance to government employees and their families ahead of the holiday season. For fiscal year 2025, the DBM has allocated P63.69 billion for year-end bonuses for both civilian and uniformed personnel, and P9.24 billion for the cash gift. These funds will benefit more than 1.85 million government workers nationwide.
The DBM also emphasized that the initiative reflects the government's acknowledgment of the dedication of public servants in delivering essential services to Filipinos.
