To worry is to be human.
Whether it's a big or small problem, it's normal to worry about uncertainties. However, despite all the fears that surround us, God, through the Bible, responds to our emotional and physical needs.
When you experience doubt because of difficult situations such as a health crisis, family problems, work pressure or other life obstacles always consider turning to the Bible to seek peace.
There are plenty or reassuring verses about hope, healing, and encouragement to remind you of God's many miracles and promises. And although it's never easy to calm a worried heart, through the Bible you are comforted with the thought that you never have to face any difficulty alone for God is always with you.
The Bible even persuades us to lean and rest on the Lord, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest," says Matthew 11:28.
Here are some Bible verses to help you barrel away from your anxious heart:
Psalm 55:22
"Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved."
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Matthew 6:25-27
"Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?"
2 Timothy 1:7
"For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."
2 Chronicles 20:15 (NKJV)
"Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God's."
Isaiah 46:4 (GNB)
"I am your God and will take care of you until you are old and your hair is grey. I made you and I will care for you; I will give you help and rescue you."
Isaiah 43:1-2 (GNB)
"Do not be afraid – I will save you. I have called you by name – you are Mine. When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you. When you pass through fire, you will not be burnt; the hard trials that come will not hurt you."
Isaiah 40:29 (NKJV)
"He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength."
Matthew 21:22 (HSCB)
"And if you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer."
When you are tired from everything this world throws at you remember to rest. Even God's precious prophets did so. Looking back into the story of Elijah the prophet wanted to die. He asked God to take his life because he had concluded that he was a failure, but instead of death, God sent his angels to comfort, feed, and give Elijah rest. This is because God knows us, He knows our needs, wants and limitations and He will never leave us.
