The MSFF is back!
Following the success of last year's MBC Short Film Festival, Manila Broadcasting Company has officially launched the MSFF 2022 – a short film competition showcasing the extraordinary creative energy of Filipino filmmakers nationwide.
The film festival is now accepting entries for short features, documentaries, and animated works of 20 minutes or less featuring human interest stories that underscore acts of kindness, care, and compassion, based on real-life characters or situations.
Fifteen films will be selected for the final competition, which will run from July 15-August 6, 2022. They will automatically be given P20,000 each.
Category winners will each receive P100,000 additional and will vie for the Grand Prix, with the overall winner being entitled to a total take-home pot of P220,000, net of tax.
The competition serves as the centerpiece of the anniversary celebrations of MBC's flagship station DZRH, which has been serving the public since it first went on the air in 1939.

Having been the frontrunner in radio dramas and documenting history as it unfolds via its news and public affairs division, MBC-DZRH now hopes to contribute a digital platform for Filipino filmmakers to share their works with the world at large.
The deadline for submission of entries is on May 20, 2022.
