We all felt lost at some point in our lives. Finding your purpose in life is actually a good thing because you aim to have a better, happier, healthier life that too few people attempt to use.
"Many seem to believe that purpose arises from your special gifts and sets you apart from other people – but that's only part of the truth. It also grows from our connection to others, which is why a crisis of purpose is often a symptom of isolation. Once you find your path, you'll almost certainly find others traveling along with you, hoping to reach the same destination – a community," according to Greater Good.
These are the following strategies or tips that can help you find your purpose if life, according to Life Hack and verywellmind:
1. Listen to feedback
Take note that not all criticism is bad. Sometimes you have to listen to other people's insight because sometimes you are already showing good skills or talent without noticing it.
Not all feedback or criticism is negative, some people can still give you a compliment while also addressing where you should improve.
2. Know your passion
It is not always about the money; yes you need it to support all your needs. But aside from your work, what are your passions or hobbies?
All of us are passionate about something in life. It is in your hand whether you will enhance and practice it. Maybe you love fashion, then why don't you try to resell dresses, shoes, or other things connected to it.
Or maybe you love traveling, then try to make a vlog or blog about it. Just keep on discovering the things that can make you happy and soon you will find your purpose.
3. Ask yourself some questions
Don't be afraid to ask yourself some questions, if you don't have the answers yet, then it is okay.
You may ask yourself these questions:
• If you had all the money in the world, how would you spend your time?
• What activities set your soul on fire?
These are just some of the examples, you may just write down some of the things that come to your mind.
Make sure you create some space to ponder these questions. Nothing is too outlandish, so do your best to turn off your mental filter. The best answers will come when you can turn off your self-judgment.
4. Start talking with new people
It is up to you which type of people you want to start a conversation with. Take the time to talk to the people around you.
Make sure that the people you will talk to do not belong to your social circle so that you can open yourself to new activities, causes, or career opportunities.
5. Create a concrete vision of the life you want
These could be the things that you enjoy doing and creating priorities so that you can start developing a vision for the life you desire.
For example, if you want to be a good singer, in order to achieve it; you must practice and undergo voice lessons. Your dream will not happen unless you do something about it.
Identifying your purpose in life is not an instant task, this can't be done in just a few days, weeks, or months. This is a lifelong journey, and sometimes you need to adjust a few things because nothing is permanent in this world.
Take note that, finding your purpose does not mean that you need to change what you're doing already. (KBAPI)
