Police arrested the husband who stabbed his wife to death in Magallanes, Sorsogon, a day after he did the crime.
Magallanes police caught Carlos Borton, a farmer and resident of Sitio Magapo, Barangay Behia in Magallanes, Sorsogon, in Bulan last Friday, March 10.
The suspect murdered his wife, Edna Borton, on March 9 in their residence at Sitio Magapo before hiding in Bulan, 29.8 kilometers from the said barangay in Magallanes.
The victim died due to multiple stab wounds in different parts of her body.
Responding police recovered the murder weapon, a bloodied knife, at the crime scene.
The police look into the possibility of money as the root cause of the couple's conflict.
