Local chief asks temporary closure of Solano-Bayombong bypass road

Mayor Philip Dacayo of the Solano local government unit (LGU) asked the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) to temporarily close the recently opened Solano-Bayombong bypass road in Nueva Vizcaya.
In a resolution by Solano's town council, Dacayo requested DPWH Regional Office 2 to close the bypass road as it was accident-prone, especially the intersection portion in Barangay Bagabag at Solano municipality.
According to officials, the lack of road signages, traffic lights, and other accident preventive measures along the bypass road were the reasons observed to cause accidents.
With this, the 6.7-kilometer road will be temporarily closed until the installation of needed equipment stated in the resolution is finished. (Adelius Ceasar Seva/Radyo Natin Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya)
