Pauleen Luna, the wife of Vic Sotto, shared the news via Instagram on Thursday, June 1, that the co-hosts and staff of "Eat Bulaga" have resigned from Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Incorporated.
Following the departure of the TVJ trio – Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey De Leon – Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, Paolo Ballesteros, Maine Mendoza, Allan K, Ryan Agoncillo, and Ryzza Mae Dizon have also resigned.
Pauleen, on her Instagram account, posted a photo of the hosts' resignation letter addressed to TAPE President Romeo Jalosjos Jr.
The letter states: "Dear Mr. Jalosjos, because of recent events, we are bidding farewell to TAPE Inc. starting today, May 31, 2023."
Additionally, Pauleen revealed that EB's writers, sales, production, and cameramen have also resigned following the TVJ and co-hosts' departure.
TVJ officially left TAPE's management on Wednesday, May 31. (READ: TVJ trio bids goodbye to TV producer TAPE)
In an earlier statement by TAPE, they acknowledged TVJ's decision as 'unfortunate' but emphasized that life must go on, and the success of "Eat Bulaga" does not solely rely on three individuals.
"It is unfortunate, but life must go on. As with life, we have to accept changes, but we have a duty to every Filipino," the statement reads.
"The departure of the hosts is not a reason for the world to stop turning," the statement concluded.
