Nxled players wore a white ribbon in support of Luna, whose tears fell after receiving a big, warm hug from her teammates as she nailed the match-clinching point.

On the other hand, Farm Fresh scored their breakthrough win this PVL season in the season-ending conference after making quick work of hapless Gerflor in straight sets, 25-17, 25-17, 25-15.

The Foxies, already eliminated from semifinal contention last weekend, came determined to end their 12-game slump since a winless debut in the Invitational Conference and achieved it while barely sweating.

In an update, Gerflor coach Sammy Acaylar said his players already received their partial payments last Saturday, with the management promising to provide the remaining amount within the week.

However, Acaylar, the current head coach of the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA men's volleyball team, still hoped the team management would resolve their problems, such as the inconvenient training venue and schedule, which the PVL continues to investigate.
