QC nears 50% of target 12-17 age group vaccinees

MANILA — The Quezon City government has administered the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccine to 102,913 minors aged 12 to 17 years old as of Monday.
Of the total, 3,792 are already fully inoculated since the pilot day of pediatric vaccination on October 15.
The city government is targeting to vaccinate 80 percent of the age group, or a total of 240,000 minors.
Among the adult population, QC already has 1,829,504 fully vaccinated individuals, or 107.62 percent of the city's target to achieve population protection.
The city has so far administered 3,780,757 Covid-19 vaccine doses.
"Maraming salamat sa ating medical front-liners, administrators, staff at volunteers sa inyong malasakit at sakripisyo para sa (Thank you very much to our medical front-liners, administrators, staff and volunteers for your concern and sacrifices for our) QCitizens," the city government posted on its Facebook page.
The city's active Covid-19 cases as of Sunday stood at 1,194 or 0.67 percent of 178,685 total infections since March last year. (PNA)
