There are days when cooking just seems like an impossible task, but still we shouldn't starve ourselves just because we don't feel like cooking.
Here are some easy-peasy recipes by Tasty that anyone can do — especially on a lazy day.
1. 3-ingredient Teriyaki Chicken
For this quick meal you'll only need 2 pounds of diced chicken, 1 cup of soy sauce, and 1/2 cup of brown sugar.
To begin, sear the chicken in a pan till it cooked. Add in the soy sauce and brown sugar and continue boiling. Stir until sauce has thickened and is evenly glazed.
Serve this dish with rice and enjoy!
2. Chili-glazed Salmon
We all love a good salmon, so for this dash dish grab yourself 4 oz salmon, 1/2 cup of chili sauce, and 1/4 cup of chopped scallions.
Start off by preheating your oven to 400°F. In a bowl, mix together your salmon, chili sauce, and scallions.
After a while, on a baking tray with parchment paper place the fillets and bake for 12-15 minutes (or until the salmon is cooked but still tender).
3. Easy Popcorn Shrimp
In a medium-sized bowl add and mix together 1 cup of flour, 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, 2 teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Place half of the mixed powder in a large zip bag and add in 1 pound of deveined and peeled shrimp. Shake the bag until the shrimps are coated with flour (shake off excess flour if any).
In a separate small bowl add and mix well one egg, 3 tablespoons milk, and 1 tablespoon of Cajun seasoning. Dip the coated floured shrimp in the egg batter then coat again with fresh seasoned flour.
Fry the shrimp in heat oil at 350°F/180°C for a few minutes or until golden brown.
Grab any dipping sauce of your choice and enjoy!
4. Strawberry Icebox Cake
To make this dish, first, you will need 5 cups of sweetened whipped cream (300 grams), 11 large graham crackers, and 3 cups of chopped strawberry (450 grams).
In a square baking dish, evenly spread a thin layer of whipped cream. Next, add a layer of graham crackers, then cover with another layer of whipped cream. Sprinkle ⅓ of the strawberries, and then layer again with cream. Repeat steps 2 and 3 (or until there are no more ingredients) and add the remaining strawberries on top.
Refrigerate for at least 3 hours then enjoy!
We all love to eat, but we don't all love to cook. Enjoy these easy recipes on days when cooking seems like too much work.
