D'Navigators Iloilo topped Pool B unbeaten while VNS Asereht Griffins finished as group runner-up in the ongoing Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) Champions League 2024 men's division tournament on Tuesday, February 13, at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
D'Navigators completed a group sweep for a 3-0 win-loss slate following their dominant 25-18, 25-22, 25-19 steamrolling of the Philippine Army.
John Ben San Andres paced Iloilo with his 17-point output, while Kyle Villamor churned out 11 and Abdurasad Nursiddik and Jayvee Sumagaysay contributed 10 apiece to send the Army falling to their second straight defeat.
Spelling the difference between the warring sides was D'Navigators' net defense that produced 11 block points in contrast to PA's four only.
Edward Camposano and Mark Enciso provided 16 and 13 points, respectively, for the Army in a futile effort.

VNS, meanwhile, brought the Philippine Air Force (PAF) back to earth in four grueling sets, 25-17, 28-30, 25-21, 31-29, with three Griffins figuring in double-digit scoring.
Charles Jordan Segui had 22 points, while Kevin Montemayor and Kenneth Culabat tallied 21 markers apiece, as VNS secured Pool B's second spot for a semifinal berth.
Losing twice in a row, PAF got 19 points from Ranran Abdilla, as well as 16 and 12 from Pol Gringo Salvador and James Buytrago.
PA and PAF, both winless, look to end their preliminaries on a high note as they face each other on Wednesday, February 14, at 1 p.m. in the same venue.
